On Friday, October 16th, at 7pm, St Gregory’s will welcome the miraculous icon of St Anna, the mother of Mary. The history of the icon can be found here, as well as an interview with Archimandrite Afanasy, the priest who commissioned the icon.
Archbishop Michael, joined by local clergy, will celebrate a service of intercession before the icon. All are welcome to attend, and we especially encourage our visitors to write lists of the first names of their family and friends who need prayer, as they will be read during the prayers of intercession.
St Anna has been known to intercede especially for those who are trying to conceive, as well as those who are suffering with cancer.
In addition to Friday evening’s service of intercession, visitors may come to venerate the icon at Vespers on Saturday, October 17th at 5pm, and at Liturgy on Sunday, October 18th at 10am.
